“Goodbye…Goodbye…” The last lines are spoken. And as the set is removed and the props are packed up, I want to take this moment to thank the entire cast and crew for such a memorable experience. As the wig comes off, and the corset is put away, I know I will miss this fun and entertaining character. Well done to everyone and thanks so much to all those who came out to support the show!
If you missed it, feel free to check out this amazing review from ‘Mooney on Theatre’: http://www.mooneyontheatre.com/2016/05/07/review-shakespeare-in-hollywood-amicus-productions/#more-32624. “Melissa Verwey, as Lydia Lansing, was darling and hilarious. She definitely encapsulated “the vamp” archetype of the character and all of the aspects that go along with it”. Thank you so much for the lovely words.
And as Lydia would say, on to our next Shakespearean picture… “War and Peace”!
Cheers,
Melissa
