Class Is Where It’s At!

Class

So I finally signed up for class! I recently registered for Audition Dynamics with Ron Leach. This was the best decision I’ve made this year. I highly suggest this class to every actor. It taught me sooooo much about auditions, performing for the camera, developing a scene and so much more. If you haven’t signed up yet, do it now! I have had some auditions since starting this course, and already I can feel the difference in my performance and confidence when I enter the audition room!

Coming up; I have a few more auditions on the horizon, so fingers crossed! I’m also entering a few contests in the near future and will hopefully have some good news to report back soon!

Have a Happy Valentine’s Day!

Bring On The New Year

Nearing the end of 2014 a lot of changes came my way. I really had no idea what 2015 would bring. Leading into the New Year someone close to me told me that they saw great things happening and that this would be the year of change for me.  It was. With new challenges and experiences, it was a year that helped shape me, introduced me to new friendships, challenged my intellect, and pushed me a bit further in my career. Sometimes the boat needs to be rocked for us to make new discoveries and changes.

I would like to thank year 2015 for being a great year. I was fortunate enough to be cast in a few theatre productions and commercials, I got to travel a  bit, and have made some hugely rewarding steps forward in my personal life. And throughout this journey, I have been so blessed to have such an amazing support group from my family and friends.

Now that 2015 is at an end, I feel like things are set in motion and are ready to take off in 2016. I have already registered for some new acting classes, have auditions lined up for a few shows, have a job that I love, and am finally pursuing some creative projects that I have been putting aside for too long. I am definitely ready for any opportunities that get thrown my way.

So, on that note, I want to raise a glass and say I’m ready for you 2016.

Cheers!

Here’s a video from my weekend up north shooting a target, lets hope I hit all my targets in the New Year!

“You Still May Hear the Ancient Melodies”

What a wonderful ride to Nottingham Castle and back. Robin Hood has now closed and I want to thank the entire cast and crew for all their hard work, tremendous talent and support. This show was such a great opportunity for me to play two contrasting characters (Prince John’s mistress Bronwen and Sister Felicity). I also took a personal challenge to really focus on my projection, clarity and speed. I want to thank the Director Chris Coculuzzi for taking a chance on me and allowing me this memorable opportunity.

Check out this great review we received from InsideToronto.com: http://m.insidetoronto.com/news-story/6123207-amicus-productions-stages-robin-hood-at-papermill-theatre with this generous mention: “Robin Hood’s men are the comedic lights of this show, especially O’Neill as the lustful Friar, Abedi as Will and Melling as Little John. Flett’s comedic talent also shines as Prince John, as does St. Amour and Verwey as Queen Eleanor and Bronwen.”

I have a few auditions coming up on the horizon so hopefully you will see me back on stage again soon! Please enjoy these production stills courtesy of Dave Fitzpatrick!

Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving

I just want to take a moment and say how thankful I am. In our crazy busy lives, it’s nice to take a moment to reflect and be surrounded by those we love, and whom love us. Not to mention all the delicious desserts.

Along with that, I am also so grateful that I have just booked a gig! What wonderful news to receive on Thanksgiving weekend. Stay tuned for updates and photos.

Until then, tickets are on sale for my next show ‘Robin Hood’ for next moth!

Sunset to Sunrise

Spoons

In its 10th year in Toronto, Nuit Blanche is a night of contemporary art presented by Scotiabank. Over 110 projects were on display across the city for people to experience for free. If you were willing to brave the cold, rain and extremely long line ups (no matter what time of night), it was a time of reflection and appreciation. Though not all exhibits are for everyone, and some were tough to find, each project was made with immense effort and love for the art from artists worldwide.

Fellow Artists,

I just spent a fabulous week in the gorgeous and breathtaking Punta Cana. Sadly, I can already see my tan slowly fade away in our already fast approaching cold weather. I would like to take a moment to highlight all the many beautiful pieces of artifacts, architecture, paintings and crafts that I saw. Each and every piece I saw was so vibrant and inspiring in its own way. I also had the chance to watch some fabulous shows with local music and talent.
